today i went to see the 'China - Contemporary Revival' exhibition at the Palazzo Reale, in Milano. i really, really loved it. the China of today is a complete mystery to me, i'm ashamed to say that my idea of China doesn't extend much beyond a few well known facts which are unfortunately mostly negative (...Tibet)! i was so impressed with how vocal, political, satirical and 'contemporary' *as viewed by a westerner* Chinese art was today. i'm now determined to go to China in this lifetime; i'm thirsty for more, so i'm going to investigate further Chinese contemporary art forms (my two faves: music & film) because i'm loving how it feels being impressed/surprised by today's China!
